CLIFTON APARTMENT

This Clifton apartment is a lovely newly furnished three bedroom apartment with magnificent panoramic views of Clifton beach. The apartment is easily accessed via two short flight of steps and the lift and once you are inside you welcomed by a spacious, airy, relaxing ambience with windows overlooking ocean and beach. Life is centred around the open plan living area which flows freely to the balcony.

The clients brief was to completely strip out the apartment and to re-configure the interior layout to accommodate a modern upmarket apartment with three bedrooms, open plan kitchen and entertainment area. The site is perched over dramatic boulders and the Atlantic Ocean and experiences sweeping views of the Clifton beaches as well as the Twelve Apostles mountain range.

Access to the apartment is gained from the upper level. The dining room, living room and kitchen are open plan and have direct access to the balcony.  The success of the space is a culmination of bespoke detailing, unexpected stylistic juxtapositions and dramatic artworks.A feature timber screens create privacy for the main en-suite bathroom and  bulkheads create volume to contain the circulation space throughout the apartment.  The floor to ceiling stacking doors allows the eye to flow from the balcony to the expanse of the Atlantic Ocean.Lighting design is an important feature in this project. Bold and discreet lighting was specified in conjunction to create a powerful ‘wow’ factor and layering of lighting was used to set various moods throughout the apartment.
